Biography
From an early age, Mike has been drawn to many forms of
music, especially those that are visually evocative.  "I've always
been aware of how music adds to the overall experience of a
film, especially with drama."  Of many interests, his love of
music, and film started early and shaped his life in many ways.

At age twelve Mike got his first guitar and life was never the
same.  Through high school, college and beyond, he played
guitar and bass in various rock bands and wrote some songs
along the way.  While still performing with The Wonk Brothers,
The Freelance Vandals and Second Wind, Mike began exploring
creating music of a much more personal nature.  "Rock and roll is
great, but I also needed to express my larger musical ideas,
grown from my love of sci-fi and classical music."

His personal compositions evoke powerful emotional and visual
imagery in the minds of listeners.  "I usually start with some kind
of visual image in my head, and play off my emotional response
to it.  I find this to be tremendously inspiring, and I liken it to
painting using an emotional pallet."

Mike is actively seeking placement of his music in films and
television.  "At any given time, I have about forty new
compositions in progress, in various stages of completion."

It has quickly become a popular play

"The IAC gives voice to a vast,
untapped world of underground

better" said Mike when he learned

CD Review:
Inspireline Records
"Mike's compositions are at times
mysterious, dark, beautiful and
emotional. His music paints perfect
landscapes for film and television
soundtracks." - Glen Roethel,

The Wonk Brothers
JP and Ray played an acoustic gig (which I couldn't make, because I was out of town, again...) and had
enough fun to book a few more.  Viola!  The Wonk Brothers are born!

These gigs are more fun every time!  John plays an acoustic that really makes the sound great.  What fun
shows!  Minimum of equipment and hassle.  I could even hear people singing along...

You never know what your gonna get, once "the shine" sets in!

The Freelance Vandals
The Freelance Vandals started life as a rock band in 1976. The original five members began performing their
energetic and original brand of rock & roll while attending the University of Dayton in Ohio and drinking too
much beer.

The band settled in the Long Island area of New York in 1977 where they quickly attracted a large and
rabid following. In 1978, the band were signed to RCA records where they recorded their first album that,
due to contractual problems, remains unreleased to this day. 1979 saw the release of The Dogpak, a set of
two singles, released on their own label, Dog Records.

The early eighties brought about several personnel changes (Mike Adams: bass, Chuck Ciany: vocals/guitar
& saxophone, Tommy Yamasaki: saxaphone, Al Speed: keyboards) as The Freelance Vandals kept drawing
crowds on the club circuit. During this period, the band was featured as the opening act for such artists as
John Hiatt, Dr. John, Beaver Brown and NRBQ.
In 1984, the band released a live album, Yer Money Or Yer Ears on Gunga Din Records. After a series of
farewell concerts, The Freelance Vandals retired from the stage in 1985 as many of the band members got
married and started families.

In 1996, the Vandals staged a successful comeback and released a series of CDs called The Bootleg Years
that highlighted many of their live shows from previous years.  1997 saw the release of Songs That Never
Made Us Famous, a compact disc collection of studio demos that covered the years 1975 to 1980.  Several
live concerts anthologies were released over the past five years. At present, the band can be found
performing several select gigs at local clubs every year.
Second Wind
Founded in 1977, Second Wind is a Six-piece rock band (Guitars, Keyboards, Harmonica, Bass and Drums)
playing Classic Rock (Eric Clapton, Traffic, Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Little Feat, Hot Tuna...)
and original Blues/Rock.
We've added Gary Q to the band on keyboards and it's been better than ever!
Mike is currently performing with three different bands, playing Bass.
